Would a motor mount cause my drivers side cv joint boot to
rip? If so which mount?

I think you'd know if you had a bad motor mount . It could have been ripped by anything , road debris flying , old age , maybe someone working on it ,

    1997 cavalier grinding noise from drivers side drive axel.Wheel bearing seems fine, noise coming from where axel enters trans. Is there a bearing here or could the inner cvc joint cause noise>
