My engine is blown in my 2001 ford explorer sport trac. I need advice on where to buy a remanufactured engine.
Try your local NAPA. I work for NAPA and our engines are rebuilt by ATK. You can order the engine and drop off the core (old engine) right there at the store. I can't remember a customer ever having a problem with one of our engines. HTH. -Jim
Where do you live? Near what city?
I would buy a Ford factory crate engine. http://www.fordparts.com/products/powertrainproducts- remanufacturedgasengineassemblies.aspx
don't rule out a good low milage engine from a auto recycler for a third of the price
Thanks for the advice. I live near Bristol Tn.
Thanks for the advice. I live near Bristol Tn. I want to get something with a warranty
Most auto recyclers will offer a warranty. I have never had a problem with any of the motors we have purchased from recyclers.
Take a look at this link. Their name came up on a "Google" search for remanufactured engines Bristol, Tennessee.....http://www.blountvilleautorepairservice.com/remanuf actured_engines.html
