The biggest differences are the engine and rear end. The GT has a single over head cam 4.6, and the cobra has a dual over head cam 4.6, which basically means WAY better breathing. Also, the GT has a solid rear axle, and the Cobra has independant rear suspension, which allows for better handling.

gas mileage is not that much of a difference The SVT Cobra comes with a hand built, by two people(signed on the valve cover), motor. It is a much more durable engine. The Cobras, also, have bigger brakes, better suspension, most all come with leather seats that are better fitting than the GT's.

not all Cobras have IRS suspensions. The 93-98 SVT Cobras have a solid rear axle.

only the Terminator cobras recieved IRS no?

Badging, Stance, Hood, Suspension, Rear bumper, Exhaust, Bigger rear end, Stronger driveshaft, 4v 4.6lDOHC compared to the 2v 4.6lSOHC in the GTs... the terminators (03,04) recieved T56 transmissions where the GTs recieved T45 trannys... 03,04 cobras also were supercharged ...

And sometimes paint. the 04 Cobra had a mystichrome color shifting paint.

Also cobras have stronger cranks, forged internals, and in the 96-01 body style like 75 more horses, and in 03-04 - 130 more horses, basically like everyone said...much better engine, OH and the brakes are 2'' bigger

the 99, 00 Cobra R, and 01 Cobras had IRS. The Terminators were made in 03/04

And the Cobras have 4 valve motors, the GTs have 2 valve

I know the terminators well and yes they were the 03/04 years but they too were IRS. We just recently swapped one to solid for better strip performance.

not all cobras are 4 valves, 93-95 were pushrod 5.0s
