I reset the ODB2 after a repair, now after 20p miles
driven in varying conditions it syill shows the
catalyst and ERG monitors still showing "not
ready". What do I need to do to help this?
sometimes it can take a good amount of driving to get them to read ready. common problem with those impalas from what i know is the EGR passage way becomes clogged with carbon build up on the intake manifold and EGR connection point. what repair did you recently have done to it?
In order to get those two readiness monitors to set your gas tank must be between 3/4 and 1/4. No more and no less. If the gas gauge is reading higher than 3/4 or lower than 1/4 the computer won't run the diagnostics on those systems to set the readiness monitors. If you're concerned about an emissions inspection you can pass with 1, but only 1, readiness monitor not set. HTH. -Jim
If oil sensor light comes off and on will it pass inspection
