Temp gauge

I just got a new water pump & timing belt on my
2004 chevy aveo. The temp gauge still goes up
while i drive?

Did you flush the radiator and install a new thermostat? Did you purge air out of the cooling system? Also make sure the cooling fan(s) are working.

Mine does the same thing but it does it when i just turn it on and its parked i flushed out the radiator and put a new water thermostate
