Can I drive my 1990 Toyota pickup 22R long distance with a Trottle Position Sensor?

The Trottle Position Sensor is bad.  Can I still drive the vehicle long distance?

Are you having drivability issues now?

No. When I hook up the TPS the vehicle drives rough

When I disconnect, it drives fine.
