Blue Devil for oil leak

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla that is leaking some oil, its not dripping, its just
all over the engine. When I pour in 3qts of oil, it typically lasts only 1000
miles. I had recently changed the valve cover gasket and the pcv valve and
there is no leak from the top or into the spark plugs. Also am not sure if this
leak is from the Rear Main Seal or the oil pan gasket. Given its an 20 year
old car, I dont want to spend lots of $$ hence was wondering if anyone has
used the Blue Devil product and is it effective? Also whats the difference
between the Blue Devil Rear Main Sealer vs. Blue Devil Oil Stop leak. Which
one should I use? Any other products recommended for the oil leak.

If your engine was leaking that much you would have a huge oil patch in your driveway. The engine probably burning the oil.

Thank you @F_O_R for your response. Its quite possible that the engine may be burning oil but leak is clearly visible when you see the underneath of the engine, though, as I said there are no drips. I do use 5W30 high mileage synthetic oil but on an average, 3qts oil is consumed/burnt/leaked in 1000 miles.

No drips means you are only losing small amounts of oil with the leaks. How many miles on the car and what oil are you using?

Though the car has 190K miles, it runs very strong and is in great condition with no other issues at all. I do use 5W30 high mileage synthetic oil but as said, its consumed within 1000 miles (on an average). So the leak is clearly visible but at the same time, the engine may be burning oil too. Again, as said, since the car is 20 years old, I dont want to spend too much $$$ and hence if there are any cheaper alternatives to fix the leak or the engine oil consumption, I will appreciate that.
