Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2005 Camry sometimes dashboard lights,
transmission, windows, signal lights, a/c, and window
wipers just stop working. What is the problem?

intermittent electrical problems are VERY DIFFICULT to diagnose. sounds like maybe the cable from the alternator to the battery could be bad or the battery itself is going bad but I can't really say for sure. If when this happens it happens for a decent amount of time you could try testing the cables to see which are not working if any. I would also test the battery itself to see if it is in the early stages of failure.

Yes, the 2005 Camry was bought as salvage, but it was running because the damage was in the back.

OK.....I would agree with Clancy above. Check around under hood and inside the trunk for ground wires which may have been left off or are loose or rusty. Make them clean and shinny...and tight. Let us know final results.
