Question type: Maintenance & Repair

You know how when you look at a
factory steel rim that there is that one
piece of metal on the very edge that
looks different? I think mine fell off,
so I have two questions. What is that
and should I be worried? I havent
confirmed if it's mine or what wheel
because I haven't gotten back home
yet today but I'd like to know before I
drive off, thanks!

You mean the wheel weights to balance the wheels? Not all wheels need a weight, but if you suspect one fell off then the balance will be off some. No need to worry about driving, have a tire shop rebalance your tires just to make sure when you have a chance.
