Piece of metal fall off my 92 Chevy s10 Blazer

Asked by Blake May 26, 2018 at 08:27 PM about the 1992 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 4 Dr Tahoe 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This piece of metal fell off what looks like to be a bolt and rubber covering that
is on the frame. Could you tell me what it is and if it is actually needed?

Hard to say what that is but I wonder if it is a body mount. You need to put the car up on a rack to inspect it.

@F_O_R I will check it out tomorrow when it is dry. I am confused as to what the purpose of it is and if I need it to be able to drive it.

If the body mounts come loose you may find that the body falls off on a curve !!!

This does look like it may be a body mount. If it is, it looks just a *little* worn out, buddy.
