car won't stray running

started poping the dealer replaced the egr valve;pick up still runnung rough at idle guy said to run it hard ;I did  wouldn't go over 85 started to pop check engine light came on died;stars after an hr runs a bit then dies

Could be so many things, you need to get a code reader on it and see exactly what the problem is instead of randomly replacing parts.
