2oo4 Grand Am ( window issues)

Asked by Jerome May 06, 2020 at 05:50 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While rolling up the driver side window I noticed
how sluggish it was moving that's when I heard the
sound of something break and fall inside of the
cars door.  Immediately the window stopped
working. I was able to manually push the window
up ( almost to a closed position) as a quick fix.  My
question is " where can I get my window's
problems diagnosed and  repaired and how much
should I expect to spend?"

Sounds like you need a window regulator. Off the top of my head I'd say you're looking at about $300. Two hours of labor at $100 per hour and about $90 for the window regulator assembly. Shop around. Just about any reputable shop can handle this repair. Hope that helps! Jim
