Why is my oil look like this

What should I do about my oil being this color and what
causes it to do that

That means coolant is mixing with your oil. Most times it's the head gasket that has failed. Are you overheating or over heated the car in the past?

If you have the 2.2L 4 cylinder check the PCV valve and the hose going to the PCV valve. Make sure nothing is clogged, disconnected or broken. Repair as needed and change the oil. Those engines are pretty durable. If you have the 3.4L V6 it's probably going to be the head gasket. Those engines commonly blow head gaskets! To confirm that, pressure test the cooling system with the engine cold. The cooling system should maintain the pressure for 15 minutes. If not, something is leaking. With the cooling system still under pressure start the engine. If the needle on the pressure tester gauge bounces, the head gasket is blown. Hope that helps! Jim
