1999 Grand Am SE V6 Fuel Gauge stays on empty.

Asked by Brucen Oct 17, 2015 at 12:21 AM about the 1999 Pontiac Grand Am 2 Dr SE Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1999 Grand Am SE V6 Fuel Gauge stays on empty. It has over 150,000
miles, and when it turns over it stays on full for 5 seconds then it drops to
empty and then stays on empty no matter how much i fill up on gas.
I'm wondering what could cause this and how much would it cost to fix.
Thanks for your help.
