01 montero starting problem

My 01 montero sport sometimes will not start on cold mornings and if it rained during the night.Had codes for cam and crank sensers.Changed both twice.Also put dialetric grease on all wiring connections I could find.Can you help me out?

check your distributor cap maybe moisture is getting inside of that ?

that's what I was gonna say- when was the last time you serviced the ignition system?

I serviced the ignition system about a year ago.New wires and plugs.Does not have distributor cap.I can understand that being the case if it only haapened when it rained.But what aboutthe not starting on cold mornings?THANKS ALOT ! Any information is helpful.

I found the Water Pump was leaking on the Crank Sensor, and the right Valve cover was oozing a bit of oil onto the Cam sensor. This shorted my Cam sensor, and I had to do Fluid control to get my Timing area fluid free. Look at your Timing cover seal, and make sure your timing belt is dry. This will cause intermittent issues.
