My steering is a problem

Asked by Derrek Oct 02, 2023 at 07:25 PM about the 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Premium

Question type: General

My car turns on its own when I let go of the steering
wheel or press brakes. I changed the brake pads and
bled the brakes that wasn’t the problem.so the
steering shaft is making a clunking noise. The abs
light and traction light came on and I just want to
know why it’s turning on its own.

Sounds like you need a front end alignment. Are your front tires wearing unevenly? If so you definitely need that alignment. Hope that helps! Jim
