2005 Mercury Grand Marquis GS

Question type: Car Customization

I just purchased me a 2005 Mercury Grand
Marquis GS.. It has a ton of customized features
inside however they were taken out upon
purchase. it has Lamborghini doors and whoever
put the doors on messed up a bunch of wires
inside the radio wasn't working, power locks,
power windows we're all not working.. Took it to a
custom shop they got everything back on now all
the vehicle does is cut off after probably about
driving for 2 miles... Pep Boys says is some type of
electrical issue that's causing my car to keep
cutting off something about the fuses burning out..
Can anyone tell me exactly what fuse or what
electrically could possibly cause my vehicle
suggest cut off???

In a car that has been heavily customized it is hard to say what exactly they did to it. Good luck fixing a car that has been totally bastardized by idiots.

If the previous owner made these mods himself, it could be a lot of different things, grounding, wire harness, connection. If you were blowing fuses, your power features would not work until you replaced the fuses. If the mods are cutting in and out it is unlikely the fuses. Easiest thing would be to ask the custom shop what they originally did to fix the problem and reply with more information.
