My 2000 grand marquis is missing (needs new coil packs) why has the check engine light never been on?

Asked by Oct 31, 2015 at 10:59 AM about the 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis LS

Question type: General

I bought the car used with 106,000 miles on it.  (That's what is showing)

Sometimes these cars do this. When you start having coil on plug issues it is time to change them all. Make sure you use genuine Ford Motorcraft coils or you will be asking for trouble. Some of the aftermarket coils are junk. This includes Accel, MSD and others.
