Remove the old filter with an oil filter wrench. Clean the mounting surface. Put new motor oil on the gasket of the new oil filter. Tighten the new oil filter hand tight only. Don't use your oil wrench to tighten the new filter. You'll crush the gasket and it will leak! Hope that helps! Jim
