Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

Hi guys I just have a question.  I have a 05 Jeep
Grand Cherokee 5.7.  I just recently put a 392
stroker kit with a new cam, I ported the heads, put
a new crank, and a lot of other components in the
motor.  It is a absolute monster now.  I was just
just curious of how much this vehicle is worth now.
I know I can sell it for a good price because there is
nothing like it.  Any ideas on what the value would
be?

The value would be the same or less than a stock vehicle. Mods like this are fun to do but the rewards are in the doing and driving, not the selling. Your mods limit your potential buyers to hot rodders like yourself and they probably prefer to do their own work to their own specifications.

If your vehicle is not smog compliant you may not be able to legally sell it anyway.

I am just being straight with you. Prospective buyers will look at it as an old Jeep with a hot motor that may have been abused or raced. The drive train may be ready to pack it in due to all miles and extra HP. If the engine had been built by a famous builder like Lingenfelter along with suspension, drive train and brake upgrades you would have something.

Advertise it for what you think it is worth and see what happens. Good luck!

I appreciate that. I will try and see what I can do. You guys have me exactly what I needed to know.
