Asked by Oct 17, 2015 at 08:01 AM about the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced the fuel pump; Jeep is getting gas via pressure but vehicle won't
start.  Haven't tested the pressure w/gauge but seems to be good.  Getting
gas all the way up but won't start.

How about spark? Squirt starting fluid down the air horn to see if it fires, if there is spark, it will fire-off...

We squirted gas into the top and it started for a moment and then died.

Well you have spark, and it will run. Need to verify fuel pressure, but i don't know what it is for a Jeep.
