Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.0 in-
line six..I’m completely stumped and haven’t the
slightest clue where to start to try and fix this
problem...here’s what it’s doing..sitting at an idle it
will idle properly for a bit then sputter and almost
dye but right before dying it will correct itself and
start idling properly again..it has also started
sputtering and almost stalling out completely
anytime I make a hard right hand turn if I’m under a
half a tank of gas...I’ve already changed the
crankshaft position sensor..could this be my fuel
pump, or maybe a bad idle control sensor?...I don’t
know where to start..

You've got the right ideas but if you scan for codes, you will get there faster. It sounds like a fuel related problem. Maybe check fuel pressure on fuel rail (55psi) and remember your fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator are combined in the fuel filter housing. Consider that before replacing the pump which is much harder and more expensive.

Thanks I’ll check into that and see if I can get to the bottom of this issue..I’ve also recently started having issues out of my brakes...first it was the rear passenger brake that locked up..I changed the wheel speed sensor and the control module for the abs and fixed that for a bit then the front passenger brake started sticking I changed the caliper and fixed that one now the front driver side is sticking..it has a new caliper on that side also...
