Every now and then no spark on my Jeep Cherokee. After a couple of hours it starts normally

Thomas, Sounds like your starter motor may be starting to give trouble. Next time it happens, put the jeep in 2nd gear, handbrake off and rock the jeep backwards and forwards as hard as you can. If you feel a tug, then the bendix in your starter is jammed in the extended position and by rocking it you've freed it up. Similarly, if the car is a manual stick drive, park the car on a hill and if it fails to start, put the car in gear and let it roll forward and then depress the clutch. You can get the starter refurbished for very little outlay.
