Can a put a Chevy big block V8 on a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4wd with a that I want to lift up and put a brand new
620 hp Chevy engine. My question is: can I put in that engine, or is that a crazy idea?
yes you can..beef it up a little more.. if you want the look..or go with a big small block...heres more info>https://www.novak- adapt.com/knowledge/engines_general.htm
Yes, as long as you can adapt the engine to the trans, a custom bell housing will be needed. Trans-Dapt makes some. I had a Chevy 350 V8 in a CJ-5. Custom welded-in upper Chevy & lower Jeep motor mounts, tube headers & clutch linkage are needed too. Some kits are availible. I pulled big Ford 4X4's stuck on the beach it was soo' powerful. And it will accelerate like an F-16 too !
