What would cause your car to start then die

Asked by Guru97TQC Jul 26, 2017 at 02:34 AM about the 2004 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I change out my alternator cuz it was,going bad
it drove for like to days,now I went out the next day  
it started right up but die few seconds after now if I
hold my foot on the gas it keeps running maybe
even a little longer after I take my foot off what
could be the problem any suggestions

check the fuel filter first
