2006 Ford Escape turns over but doesn't start

Asked by Sep 10, 2015 at 02:15 PM about the 2006 Ford Escape XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a dead battery in my 2006 Ford Escape.
Went to put the battery charger on to start the car.
Mistakenly the charger was set for 40 amps. Dome light flashed on then off
heard other electrical components cycle.
Now the engine turns over normally but won't start.
Security light flashes.
