Why does my transmission not take any gears?

98 csvt. Was driving normal stopped at a
light then suddenly no gears shifter moves
freely clutch is still tight. There was no pop
or noise.

Sounds like your linkage came loose. check under car at transmission

I have a 1998 Ford contour SVT V6 24 valve all in one day it just stopped shifting and it won’t shift into any gear when the car is on or off I checked the cables they seem fine with the relay fuse have something to do with that
