The Daytime running lights are part of the cars lighting system and are on for safety. If you want to disable them, you would need to have a mechanic hook the car up to the computer system to then program them to off. I am not sure on your model vehicles, but sometimes this can be done, sometime not.

On my 2010 Silverado truck if I want to turn OFF daytime running lights all I have to do is to turn the light rotary switch all the way to the left (CCW) from the "auto-on" resting place and release it and the lights are OFF then. The problem is that you have to do this every time you start the truck. I heard that this can be reprogrammed by the dealer service department if required (they do this for the police). Not free.
