2003 Chevy Silverado lights/electrical
It started with the reverse lights, brakes,
and turning signals not working. No
reverse lights, and brake and blinkers are
dim and alternate when brakes are applied.
Only the cab brake light comes on.
Blinkers blink fast. Now the service 4wd
light just came on. I have no idea if the
issues are related.
We have checked bulbs, fuses, wires, and the "cluster" behind the steering wheel. We also checked the turning switch HELP PLEASE!
How about checking the grounds to the rear lights and the sockets, look for a burn mark usually where the ground wire is connected to the socket. Service 4WD light can mean anything from just a drain and refill of the fluids to a failure in the transfer case itself.
We did check those too. Any other suggestions ??
Did you try running a separate ground wire and just slip it in between the side of the bulb and socket? The only other thing I can think of is if this has the IC board inside the taillight assemblies but I didn't think the 03 used them.
No. I'll bring it up to the guy doing all the work Thanks
