Jame,s have you replaced the fuel pressure regulator and when you checked fuel pressure was it at the regulator or above it?

FOR,,could be,cam sensor all so controls the firing order of the coil pack,s to,meaning it may be out of time.

No I haven't 9 replaced regulator and I tested it on the fuel rail on the passenger side intake.

If i remove a spark plug wire it will start .but when i put the wire back on it shuts off and will not start unless i take the boot back off 1 Answer

My truck wont start unless i take off a plug wire boot .then it will start but when i put the boot back on it shuts off.i have fuel and a little spark.

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado extended cab, 4.8 liter. I have had multiple issues with this vehicle, but the one I can't seem to solve is this: if I leave the truck sitting for a day, when I get in and start driving, about 5 miles down the road, it acts like it is being starved of fuel. The engine light starts blinking and there is no power even when i step on the gas fully. After a minute or two, it goes away and runs fine unless I let it sit for a couple days. I just replaced my fuel lines because they were rusted out but that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas anyone? 6 Answers

Engine light is always on and blinks on and off when problem occurs.
