how to install distributor to have correct timing
did a 350 engine swap in my 1993 chevy Z71 silverado 1500 had to change the distributor and now the timing is all messed up how do I fix my problem,it isa throttle body engine thank you
sounds like you may have missed a tooth on the cam when you installed new one what type of dis. did you use?
Start by putting the number one cylinder to top dead center. Then remove the distributor and re install it so that the arm is moving to the number one spot on the cap. It make take a few tries to get it to engage all the way down. This should let it start good enough for you to put a timing light on it.
