Any big problems with 06 Lexus IS 350s?

Asked by Layinq Jul 25, 2020 at 05:11 PM about the 2006 Lexus IS 350 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm looking to buy a 2006 IS 350 with around 88k miles, I would be the 4th
owner and I'm wondering if there is any significant problems with this year.
I've heard things about them leaking oil aswell as the water pumped needing
replaced. Are the 06-09's reliable? Or do you think i should just spend a
couple grand more on the 2010-12 model? Any personal experience or
knowledge on these vehicles is appreciated, just don't need another money
pit

I’d opt for the 08 and up at least. The 06s tend to have more problems. If money is the issue tho definitely go for a 10-12
