2004 Honda CRV A/c works ok on highway not in traffic or at idle what would cause an air flow problem?

CRV A/C works when on the highway or rain and cool weather, blows cold air , when in traffic or at idle blows warm
air and compressor cycles on and off. had gauges on it and low side is about 50 and high side is at 400 then runs
up to 450 and kicks out , will continue to try to kick on but won't stay on . seems to be to hot. could it be the
compressor or is there some type of air flow I'm missing/ fans are working and replaced all relays. I hate to spend
mony on a compressor if that may not be it. Any thoughts.

obviously it will be cooler in the rain and cool weather and while you're driving. check your condenser, make sure all the fins are not flattened or anything is blocking it or maybe its the condenser.

Nothing blocking condenser and fins don't look perfect but not bad. left side of condenser has a lot of hot air coming out on the top side of grill but not so much below Honda emblem. You think I might have an obstruction in the condenser. Thanks

maybe the condenser or anything after it... have you had your "freeon" checked?

One of your fans is dead. There is one for the radiator and one for the A/C condensor. Look up how to diagnose. They are about $100 and easy to swap
