Have a ford Econoline E150 1995 lots of miles runs good. Engine light coming on most of the time and staying on till turn off engine. Its obd 1 diagnostic.

battery engine light staying on..smells a bit
lean or rich EGR or oxegen sensor..

First, make sure your oil is changed, and your gas cap will make that light come on. Next, pull and screw in sensors form the intake and check for carbon build up. All of these things will cause it to not show a code. Hope this helps

Not sure what sensor referring to ?? Oil good gas cap I've checked and do use Lucas injector cleaner about every 3rd tank... Thanks

Pleaseplease anyone tell me I have a 95 Ford Econoline van that I put $10,000 into new transmission new brake lines new rotors new brake lines engine oil seals been done a 10 everything's working fine use the best gas Costco the brake the light comes on for the engine blinks on and off occasionally I get no hesitation or anything like that it runs like a champ but just a light comes blinking occasionally on and off
