It wont stay running when i start it

I changed the plugs and wires on my 2000 ford
taurus and when i start it it dies after a min or two

A tune-up is a good idea, more to it then plugs and wires? Any applicable trouble codes? Can you tell if system is running rich or lean? Sometimes for a Ford, unplug the maf sensor, where applicable. Start it and take for a drive, If it does better, check that system, sensor--wiring circuit--computer? Just my opinion.
