2004 Dodge Neon dies won't do anything when I turn the key

Asked by texancoyote Nov 13, 2014 at 04:53 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This will happen after I get off of
work and when I get in the car to
start it and turn the key nothing
happens. I've had the battery
checked and the alternator checked
and the both work fine. I can get it to
start after I turn the key on and off a
couple of times. Any ideas on what's
wrong?

It will take some troubleshooting to determine the issue. It could be a faulty ignition switch or starter relay. If there is a horn relay in the fuse center that is the same, you could try swapping the relays to see if this clears up the problem.
