What's the best replacment carburetor for a QuadraJet 4 Barrel on a 1985 3/4 single cab Chevy truck

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Not sure if trying to tune the quad is something I want to tackle.  I'd be ok with a 2 barrel if power and pep is not lost.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Personally... I would just replace it with an off the shelf 600cfm Edelbrock from you local Auto parts store.. Should be a normal stocked item.
