Truck bogs out

I just bought a 1987 6.9l f250 diesel
And it is hard to start but once it
starts it idles fine and then after a few
mins of driving it bogs out and slowly
dies like it’s running out of fuel it leaks
diesel out of injector #1 where it
comes out of the mechanical pump is
this why it dies????
