Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Is it OK for  a dealer (Dublin of Toyota) to list a price on friday and agree to
show it to you and then add a 4K price increase claiming they decided to
some work on it after they listed it? Seems to be like a "bait & Switch" offer to
me. Who know if they did the work or not. Dubious practice in my view.

They can ask whatever they want and you can offer what ever you think it is worth.

But which price should they honor? What they listed it at on Carguru or the increased price they changed to the next day? Obviously, question their integrity and best to go with someone you trust.

I would ignore the asking price, do research and offer them what it is worth.

They can change price, however NOT if it is ADVERTISED at a lower price. BY law they have to sell at lowest advertised price. If they changed price on all their platforms, fair game..
