I'll be going to the university of northwestern ohio for an
associates in automotive technology. They don't have any
classes on detailing/ body work. Should I find a job in the
summer to learn that skill or what?

If you want to be a well rounded tech, I would say yeah do it. Try a local body shop and work there for free...
