Belt smoking

Lincoln Town Car 1998....belt  (serpentine belt) just
replaced...starter replaced.... battery replaced
Now belt smoking when car is started.

belt too tight? belt not seated properly??belt tensioner needs replacement??

Check all the belt driven accessories, something is turning harder than it should. You will likely have to remove the belt to check things over. Engine not running of course.
