For long term storage, to avoid 'door seal compression fatigue', do you advise leaving the doors slightly open (with the dome light off)?

It would most certainly help, and wipe them down with some type of conditioner like Armor-All, But there are much better products out there than the Armor All...should disconnect the battery, and add some Stable to the gas, & put a car cover over the said long term...
