Have a 95 Oldsmobile. Wouldn't crank. Turned key to off position and started cranking like crazy. Now will not sart. Anyone have a clue to what is wrong?

a ignition rack in the column something like in the pic it is hard to replace

i have a 99 ford escort lx 5 speed new tranny and clutch. the other day i was going up the hill started to chug like i was in to high of a gear, stuck it in first still contiuned pulled over turned it off now it wont start it cranks tho, I checked everything it is getting spark and fuel. and all fuses are good. anyone have a clue? 1 Answer

I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight and it has been acting real sluggish like it doesn't want to go it does fine on the highway but when you stop at a light or stop sign and then go it acts like it doesn't want to go.
