Our motorhome has 2 fuel tanks and when we bought it from a friend he said that the perivious owner disconnected on of the fuel tanks. So right now one fuel tanks is for traveling the other one is for the generator for the motorhome. How can he reconnect them so we can have more fuel to travel more miles?

If you want to modify the fuel system, better have a pro do it- gas leaks are dangerous-

seems like a really dumb modification. Your engine will use way more fuel then the gen set. Not to mention this may significantly reduce your driving range. I agree with jamnblues - get a mechanic to put it back the way it was originally designed.

I have an old dodge class c motorhome that has been sitting idle for 9 years!!! It has 2 fuel tanks full of gas. Is the gas bad and if it is is there a fuel conditioner i can add? Trying to avoid draing tanks!! Engine work is complete and dont want to contaminate system.. 4 Answers

At first, the belt went and so I replaced that, then my son drove it and the compressor froze and has never started since. He drove it to my drive and there it died. So I had to replace the compressor and then it did not even turn over it was completely dead. The battery is only 2 months old. So then I went to the started. One replaced it did turn over. I then got a computer from Autozone and the code said the alternator and that is why I replaced it. So again it only turns but no ignition. Tuesday at my friend's house my car wouldn't start and it wasn't turning over at all. The AAA guy tried several things and he tried to start it by just leaning over the seat from the outside of the car and it wouldn't start. So finally he got it started but said it needed a new starter, so I got home and then again, it wouldn't start. So today, being Saturday, my friend Kent came to put in a new starter and it turned over right away for him. Every time he starts it, it does start, but when I try it won't start, so we tried over and over, and we finally found that I need to put more pressure on the key in the ignition, then it won't start for me, so I leave it a little bit and try again, with much pressure on the key. 2001 Stratus is has a fuel leak. 2.4L DOHC engine. The leak is coming from under a "hat looking device" attached to the top middle of the fuel rail. Is this a pressure relief valve. Is it replaceable or do I have to replace the entire fuel rail? I don't believe it's a test port or schrader valve. The Haynes manual says to connect an adapter between the fuel line and rail to check fuel pressure. This is a returnless fuel system. Does anyone have a factory service manual that talks about this "hat" on the fuel rail. Thanks for any info you can give. 1 Answer
