I have a fuse slot in my fuse box dnt won't work even with a new fuse on mi 96 thunder bird

Sometimes corrosion can get into the backside of a fuse block, inspect around it and see if there is anything wrong that might be shorting a fuse out. Otherwise the problem may be in the circuit (like a short) that is causing a fuse to blow, or an open that is preventing the circuit from operating.
