Or check the terminals for corrosion, if you see either a black coating or white mold-like stuff, clean with baking soda and water, being careful to not get water on critical electronics. Wear latex gloves. Pour a little water on. sprinkle baking soda, you can watch it eat away the corrosion, rinse, then make sure terminals are tight.
