I've replaced the rear 6x9 speakers in my 02 GRAND-AM GT.. Something is slowly drawing the power and killing my battery.

Car comes with monsoon amp. The
factory speakers have a wiring
harness that has 4 wires. The wiring
diagram for the car shows the
connection for the amp, which I've
connected the aftermarket speakers
to. I've left the other tweeter speaker
connections open. SHOULD THEY
BE SPLICED TOGETHER THEN
SENT TO THE SPEAKERS?

speaker wires are not going to drain your battery . did you do a draw test?
