when changing just the tumbler key hole does the type of transmission matter?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The ignition lock cylinder (tumbler) in my 2003 honda element went out just the key lock
and i am trying to find a cheap way to change it. but i need to know if the type of
transmission Automatic or standard matters.
