Have manufacturers fixed the carbon buildup problems on the direct injection engines? Concerned about the GDI, SIDI, etc.

u n less they added water injection or something,dont know.just have to run some cleaner thrue the intake now and then, in the correct way that is.those valves get very hot in these engines

They have redesigned some of the engines to reduce. It might be enough so they don't have to repair them while under warranty which is around 100,000 miles with the extensions.
