Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1996 chevy c1500 wt.  It was idling rough
so i changed plugs wire and rotor and cap. When i
changed out the plugs they eere heavily carboned
up on the passenger side but normal on the drivers
side. I cleaned the throttle body and the mass air
flow sensor. It ran good for about 5 miles snd
started missing bad and acting like it was going to
stall at 70 mph ehile i was on my way to work. Also
i noticed its blowing black smoke pretty bad. Amy
ideas? Thnks bill

Seems as though your passenger side cylinders aren't getting fire (spark) maybe. Do you have a general knowledge of your ignition system to trace it back to the problem?
